Ex-Senator Javed Jabbar resigns from National Finance Commission

The former senator was nominated from Balochistan
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Former Senator Javed Jabbar has resigned from National Finance Commission as a member from Balochistan.
The senator has said that he has resigned from the National Finance Commission and has written a letter to President Arif Alvi regarding his resignation and thanked him for nominating him as a member of the Commission.
He further said that he was grateful to Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan for making him a member of the commission representing Balochistan. He said that many constituencies of Balochistan expressed happiness over his nomination but with that, some concerns were expressed as well and in the past two weeks, he has faced political pushback for it.
The former senator said that the positive steps taken by the Chief Minister of Balochistan have faced opposition while some even resorted to going to the High Court against my nomination.
Javed Jabbar further said that all decisions in the National Finance Commission should be taken in consultation with all concerned. He said that he has sent his resignation directly to the President but he will continue his voluntary services to various projects in Balochistan.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Jam Kamal while expressing regret over the resignation of Javed Jabbar said that those who made his nomination an issue would also regret it.
