PMLN's Attaullah Tarar tests positive for coronavirus

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Attaullah Tarar has contracted the deadly novel coronavirus.

According to details, Deputy Secretary General of PMLN Attaullah Tarar, in his tweet confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

He urged all those who interacted with him in past few days to get tested for the virus and take precautionary measures.

I have been tested positive for COVID-19 Would like to request all those people who have interacted with me in the past few days to get their tests done and take precautions accordingly. Request for prayers

Later in a tweet, former Chief Minister Punjab and PML-N president Mian Shehbaz Sharif wished Attaullah Tarrar a speedy recovery.

Yesterday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of provincial assembly Shaheen Raza lost her life to deadly coronavirus. 

Coronavirus cases are on rise in Pakistan with several lawmakers contracting the disease including Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Sardar Dost Mazari and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail.

So far Pakistan has reported over 1,000 deaths from novel coronavirus with more than 48,000 confirmed cases.
