Government will give Rs 4 for every rupee donated to Ehsaas program for labourers laid off work.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the federal government will give Rs 4 for every rupee donated to the Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for labourers who have been laid off work, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
The premier tweeted, “Yesterday I met recipients of #EhsaasEmergencyCash Category IV for labourers laid off work, funded by Prime Minister’s COVID Relief Fund. For every rupee donated, govt will give 4 more. Ehsaas data & transparency rules apply fully.”

— Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI) May 19, 2020Let it be known that PM Imran Khan had on Monday formally launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash program for those rendered jobless due to Coronavirus. Over Rs3 billion have so far been collected in the Corona Relief Fund.
Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar briefed the Prime Minister. Donations to the relief fund as well as release of funds from it are being done in a transparent manner.
Imran Khan interacted with the affectees and listened to their problems and grievances and assured them to take every possible step in resolving their issues. Strict precautionary measures were observed on the occasion.
