The COAS directed army to facilitate people of far flung areas of Balochistan

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday said that Balochistan is Pakistan s future and it is our duty to fully assist the government and people towards a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS visited Southern Command Quetta where Commander Southern Command General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf welcomed him.

During the visit, the army chief was briefed on security situation, operational preparedness and border management including fencing along Pak-Afghan and Pak-Iran borders.

Gen Qamar Bajwa was apprised about formation’s assistance to civil administration in fighting pandemic and continued measures for socio-economic uplift of the area.

He also visited quarantine facility where he appreciated the formation for arrangements & facilities established as per SOPs and guidelines.

Gen Bajwa directed all commanders to reach out to people in far flung areas of Balochistan to help mitigate challenges faced by masses due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic

While talking to officers and men, the COAS lauded their dedication and professionalism.
