UK coronavirus app to be ready in two to three weeks
LONDON (Web Desk) - Building a coronavirus contact-tracing app that can help the United Kingdom to emerge from coronavirus lockdown is under development.
UK’s National Health Services chief has told members of British Parliament that he hopes the first version of the app will be ready in a fortnight’s time
He also disclosed plans to log the location of whenever two or more people are in close proximity for minutes at a time but this move will disturb privacy campaigners in the country.
However, NHSX - the health service’s digital innovation unit – said that this extra request will be "opt in" rather than the default setting.
