CM Punjab visits Koh Suleiman, meets local tribesmen

He conversed with the tribal people in local Balochi language

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Choti Kari Marh on the bank of Singharandi area of Koh Suleiman where he met locals.

Tribal people gathered around the peak and were pleasantly surprised at his sudden arrival. The Chief Minister sat between the tribal people on the rocky terrain for two hours and engaged in small talk.

He conversed with the tribal people in local Balochi language and also announced the construction of a school in Kari Marh. He gave immediate instructions to Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan in this regard.

The tribal people put forwards their demands of a connecting road, wheat and flour supply, veterinary doctors and medicines. The Chief Minister instructed the local Commissioner and administration to immediately resolve the problems being faced by the people of Kari Marh.

The Chief Minister also spoke to a 4-year-old girl who had come with a tribal elder and gave her a cash prize. He said that all young girls living in the area are like his own daughters.

Chief Minister Usman Bazdar reviewed the construction of a water reservoir along the Singhar canal and said that the construction of small dams in Dera Ghazi Khan has huge potential. He said that construction of small dams will also provide clean drinking water along with irrigation and instructed the irrigation department to work on small dams on a war-footing basis.

The Chief Minister also observed various roads and under construction projects of Koh Suleiman through helicopter. Additional Chief Secretary Urbanization and Infrastructure, Secretary Agriculture, Secretary Irrigation, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Division and other officials were also present on the occasion.
