Coronavirus: 1000 bed Isolation center set up at Expo Center Lahore

1900 doctors, nurses and paramedical staff would care for and treat patients at the Isolation Center
LAHORE (Dunya News) - In view of potential aggravation of the coronavirus situation in the province, the Department of Health has set up a 1000 bed temporary isolation center at the Expo Center, on an emergency basis.
Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that the Isolation center will have the ability to test for coronavirus infection, 35 ventilators from Shaukat Khanum Hospital and a total of 1900 doctors and other paramedical staff deployed for duty.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said that coronavirus screening, testing and consultation facilities will be provided to the patients in the temporary isolation center. She said that three wards have been set up in the temporary isolation center, which would house the most serious, moderately sick and stable patients respectively.
She also said that 1900 doctors, nurses and paramedical staff would care for and treat patients at the Isolation Center. In addition to this, three hospitals have also been specified for coronavirus patients in Lahore, including Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute, Mayo Hospital and temporary hospital at Expo Center.
