Coronavirus confirmed in two doctors: Primary Health Secretary
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Primary Health Secretary on Friday has confirmed that two doctors, who were performing their duties at quarantine centers in Dera Ghazi Khan, have been tested positive for coronavirus. According to the secretary, both the doctors are out of danger, however, they have been kept in isolation for the safety of other people.
The announcement was made after Pakistan has reported nine deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases have surged to 1235 as 429 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Sindh, 131 in Balochistan, 408 in Punjab, 147 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 91 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 27 in Islamabad and two in Azad Kashmir.
Total number of patients who have recovered is 23.
On the other hand, in another friendly gesture, Chinese university has agreed to form a hospital in Lahore for the treatment of patients suffering from coronavirus.
Punjab governor Chaudhry Sarwar has told that the Vice Chancellor of Chinese University has assured to establish hospital in the metropolis.
Coronavirus test kits and masks will also be provided, he added.
