Pakistan reports 1130 coronavirus cases
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan on Thursday has reported nine deaths from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases have surged to 1130 as 421 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Sindh, 131 in Balochistan, 345 in Punjab, 123 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 25 in Islamabad and one in Azad Kashmir. According to details, total number of patients who have recovered is 21.
Saudi Arabia halts Hajj agreement with Pakistan
In wake of the spread the novel coronavirus pandemic across the globe, the Saudi Arabian government on Thursday halted signing of Hajj agreement with Pakistan.
According to a letter received by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in the Saudi government stopped Pakistan not to make Hajj 2020 agreement.
The letter further stated the agreement will not be made until the situation in country gets better.
Domestic flight operation suspended till April 2
Government has suspended all types of flights including domestic and chartered flights in the country till April 2.
According to spokesperson of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), all domestic, chartered and private flights will be suspended; however cargo and flights with special permission letters are exempted from the ban.
Punjab govt to give additional one month pay to doctors, other medical staff
Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday has decided to give additional one month pay to doctors and other medical staff who put their lives in danger while treating the coronavirus patients.
According to details, the CM has paid tribute to the doctors and health care staffers, saying that their services in this time of need will always be remembered.
China to dispatch experts to Pakistan to help with response against Covid-19
China will send a team of medical experts to Pakistan to work closely with local health authorities and provide assistance and expertise in their fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic, Zeng Yixin, Vice Minister of China’s National Health Commission said on Thursday.
“As required by Pakistani side, China is preparing a medical team to visit Pakistan and this team of experts will pay field trips to different localities in Pakistan,” Zeng said while responding to APP at a press conference on China’s cooperation with the international community in fighting COVID-19 held at China’s State Council Information Office.
ECC approves emergency funds to fight coronavirus
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a summary to release emergency funds in order to deal with the Corona virus.
According to details, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) chaired by Advisor Finance Dr Abdul Hafiz Sheikh was held on Thursday approved the release of Rs5 billion funds to NDMA.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that we have to be well-prepared before imposing curfew in the country for the prevention of deadly coronavirus.
While addressing the meeting of parliamentary leaders via video link, the premier said that we would not be able to provide food to the people at their houses due to lack of resources. Decisions taken in fear and anxiety never prove to be right, he added.
PM Imran requested the leaders of all political parties and people of Pakistan to jointly fight against the coronavirus. Will soon announce program for volunteers, he asserted.

Federation and all the provincial governments have tightened the measures to curb the outbreak of coronavirus in the country. The partial lockdown across the country has continued and security personnel are performing their duties for the safety of the people.
