Coronavirus: China to provide masks, hazmat suits and ventilators to Pakistan

20 countries of Europe, Central Asia and South Asia attended the video conference

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In wake of the worsening situation of the coronavirus pandemic across the globe, Chinese experts have shared their experience in fighting the virus with several countries, including Pakistan, in a four-hour long international video conference.

Addressing the video conference, Executive Director National Institute of Health (NIH) Major General Aamer Ikram said that we are grateful to China for providing such an opportunity during this difficult time.

The executive director said that Chinese authorities answered many queries put forth by Pakistan and helped increase their understanding of the situation.

The Chinese Embassy said that China has provided test kits for checking 30,000 suspected patients of the virus, China will also provide masks, hazmat suits and ventilators to Pakistan, out of which 100,000 masks have already been handed over.

The Chinese Embassy also said that 20 countries of Europe, Central Asia and South Asia attended the video conference. Around 20 experts from Pakistan participated in the conference and China will continue to share its experience with Pakistan to deal with the coronavirus.
