Coronavirus: Pakistan keeps borders with Iran, Afghanistan closed.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s borders with Iran and Afghanistan have been continued to be kept closed in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic and strict security measures at the borders have been ensured, Dunya News reported on Saturday.

According to details, Pakistan-Iran border has been shut down for 14 days and Pakistan-Afghanistan border has been closed for six days. Trade of all kinds with both countries is suspended.

397 Pakistanis – including 222 pilgrims, 107 traders and 68 students – reached Taftan border from Iran. They have been kept under quarantine and screening process is ongoing. The total number of pilgrims returned from Iran has surged to 4,000.

On the other hand, two heavy generators, medicines, screening machine, medical kits and other supplies – sent by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) – have reached Dalbandin Airport.
