Smuggling of surgical masks to Afghanistan from KP unearthed

According to medical stores' owners, the masks are not available at whole sale.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – It has been revealed that surgical masks are being smuggled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Afghanistan amid concerns of coronavirus’ spread Pakistan.
Consequently, this has lead to shortage of face masks and their rising prices across the province. The demand of surgical masks has increased after reports of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan.
According to medical stores’ owners, the masks are not available at whole sale, but they are being smuggled to Afghanistan and Iran.
Importantly, citizens have been urging the concerned authorities of the province to investigate into the alleged smuggling of face masks, and take action against culprits responsible for its “artificial crisis”.
