Quetta Gladiators crumble while chasing 210-run target by Lahore Qalandars

LAHORE (Web desk) - Lahore Qalandars have defeated Quetta Gladiators by 37 runs in the 16th fixture of 5th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Gaddafi Stadium.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars set 210-run-target powered by Ben Dunk and Samit Patel s 155-run partnership for 4th wicket.

Ben Dunk scored a spectacular inning of 93 runs off just 43 balls with the help of 3 fours and 10 sixes before getting caught out on the last ball.

Samit Patel scored 71 runs off 40 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes. He was caught out by Mohammad Nawaz on Ben Cutting s delivery.

While chasing a huge total of 210 runs, Quetta Gladiators kept losing wickets. Ben Cutting was the top-scorer, who scored 53 runs off 27 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes.

Salman Irshad was the lead wicket-taker from Lahore Qalandars who sent four batsmen to pavillion. Samit Patel, Dilbar Hussain and Muhammad Faizan took 2 wickets each. 

Earlier, Quetta Gladiators had won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Team Quetta made one change in their playing 11. Fawad Ahmed replaced Sohail Khan for Today s match.

Lahore Qalandars made three changes to their side. Seekkuge Prasanna replaced David Wiese, Muhammad Faizan replaced Maaz Khan while Ben Dunk replaced Dane Vilas.
