CM Punjab chaired emergency meeting on coronavirus

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A high level meeting with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the chair, decided to form a cabinet committee to review situation of the coronavirus on daily basis.

According to details, Chief Minister approved fund of Rs236 million for emergency procurement of all the necessary equipment required to fight coronavirus.

CM Usman Buzdar also directed to launch an awareness campaign and ordered strict monitoring and surveillance at all entry points of Punjab.

Addressing the meeting, he said that there is no case of virus in the province. Nevertheless, taking precautionary measure, an isolation ward consisting of 75 beds has been constituted in PKLI. In addition to this, isolation wards have been set up at Mayo Hospital and Services Hospital, he added.

Usman Buzdar also directed to fully implement SOPs of World Health Organization (WHO) in 24 hours and submit report to the CM’s office.
