Those who looted national exchequer would have to face accountability: FM Qureshi
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Saturday said that the government is fighting against mafia and those who are talking about dissolving government want to save themselves from the accountability.
While talking to media in Multan, FM Qureshi said that the people who were rejected by public in previous elections are dreaming about midterm polls and in-house change.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) appeared as Pakistan’s strongest and most popular political party in 2018’s general elections. He added that PTI will complete its constitutional tenure according to public mandate.
Qureshi further said that the ones who looted national exchequer will have to face accountability. “Pakistan’s economic condition is improving gradually. Nation will get good news soon,” he added.
Foreign minister said, “India’s conspiracy to push Pakistan in black list through Financial Action Task Force (FATF) was a huge failure.”
While commenting on peace dialogue between US and Taliban, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that peace pact between United States and Taliban is a great achievement for Pakistan on diplomatic front. “No one had imagined a dialogue between America and Taliban,” said FM Qureshi adding that Pakistan will play its part in reconstruction of Afghanistan.
