Rs25b scam unearthed in Al-Kabir Town Lahore
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A massive fraud in Al-Kabir Town which looted thousands of people has been unearthed.
According to details, owner of Al-Kabir Town Chaudhry Aurangzeb marketed and sold thousands of illegal plots which were not approved by Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
According to sources, Chairman of Al-Kabir Town Chaudhry Aurangzeb got approval for only Block A and B consisting of 239 kanals. As per the approval, only 804 plots could be bought and sold in these blocks.
Administration sold 13,022 illegal plots in six blocks which include Block C, D, E, Ali, Umar and Usman. Value of plots sold illegally has been estimated to be Rs25.9 billion.
DG LDA Sameer Ahmad Syed has announced to investigate irregularities by Al-Kabir Town and vowed strict action if allegations were proved.
