Pakistan, Malaysia, Turkey not forming new alliance together: Firdous Ashiq

Awan expressed: "Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir"

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said that Pakistan is not forming a new alliance with Turkey and Malaysia but trying to gather everyone on the platform of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

She said that issue of Kashmir was also brought up along with the issues of Muslim Ummah during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Malaysia. She expressed that Malaysian premier Mahathir Mohamad put his business interests at stake for Ummah and, Pakistan will remained indebted to him in this regard.

Dr. Awan hoped that they will be successful in putting Kashmir issue as the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting in September. She added that Pakistan does not want a war and India must not take its desire for peace as a weakness.

Meanwhile, Firdous Ashiq Awan also said that Pakistan is protector of the rights of Kashmiris. She went on to say that the Indian state terrorism will not succeed in snatching the rights of innocent people of the occupied valley.

Awan expressed: “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir”.

She further said that women belonging to all walks of life will form a human chain at 10:30am tomorrow in front of the Foreign Office to express solidarity with the oppressed women and children of occupied Kashmir.

She said Pakistan will continue to play its role in projecting the positive image of Islam and Muslim Ummah. 

On the other hand, Awan said that Imran Khan and his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad are writing a new chapter of friendship, trust, cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

She expressed that this friendship, trust and love will prove to be a new door of progress and prosperity between Pakistan and Malaysia.
