No case of coronavirus in Pakistan: Dr. Zafar Mirza.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr. Zafar Mirza has on Monday said that there is no case of the coronavirus epidemic in Pakistan.
The SAPM held a press conference in Islamabad along with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing and told that seven suspected patients of the coronavirus have been cleared.
Dr. Zafar Mirza informed that there is no affectee of the deadly virus among those who have reached Pakistan from China.
“I received the passengers at airport myself. Pakistan has received testing kits to diagnose the virus which have been imported from different countries and are being used to check the suspected patients.”

Yao Jing said 371 persons have died of the coronavirus so far and we are working to overcome this challenge. We have cancelled all ceremonies nationwide and are apprising the world of our steps against the outbreak, he added.
The Chinese ambassador thanked Pakistan for its support and said Prime Minister Imran Khan has written a letter to China President Xi Jinping. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also lauded our efforts against the coronavirus epidemic, he said.
“A large number of Pakistanis is present in China and we consider them our compatriots. Twelve Chinese nationals, including four businessmen, have arrived in Pakistan today.
“All individuals are examined for two weeks before being allowed to travel and those who have reached Pakistan today were also permitted to travel after strict monitoring. China also made arrangements for return of Pakistani nationals.”
