He said the recovery made by accountability watchdog was better as compared to the previous year.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar said on Monday that the government could not pass a law that “is unpopular in the society”.
In his talk to the media, Mr Akbar expressed reservations over the former premier Nawaz Sharif’s medical reports for extension in his bail.
“There were a few certificates which were not attached with medical reports […] reports didn’t mention of Nawaz Sharif’s platelet count,” he added.
About the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) performance, he pointed out that the recovery made by accountability watchdog was better as compared to previous year.
“Cases under NAB take sometime […] NAB law is aimed at improvement of the bureau,” he mentioned.
