British newspaper terms Modi-led India 'intolerant'
LONDON (Dunya News) – British newspaper ‘The Economist’, in an article on January 23, has called Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi-led India as intolerant.
The Economist article, titled ‘Intolerant India - Narendra Modi stokes divisions in the world’s biggest democracy’, stated India‘s 200 million Muslims fear the Prime Minister is building a Hindu state.
"Mr Modi and the BJP are likely to benefit politically by creating divisions over religion and national identity", it added.
