LAHORE (Dunya News) – Atta Chakkis’ owners went on a strike to protest against administration’s crackdown.
Atta Chakki owners on Tuesday reduced price of flour by Rs2 to set the price at Rs68 per kg to provide relief to the masses, Dunya News reported.
However, Chakki owners went on strike on Wednesday to lodge protest against administration’s continued crackdown against selling the commodity at higher rates against the official rate of Rs 45 per kg.
The Punjab government has launched a province-wide crackdown on wheat hoarders and profiteers to control wheat flour prices. The provincial government has decided to take strict action against those involved in creating artificial shortage of flour.
