Police has issued traffic advisory to facilitate commuters
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore police demanded helicopter form provincial government for security of Pakistan-Bangladesh T20 series.
According to sources, Lahore polices has requested one company of close protection and eight companies of Rangers from provincial government and four armored vehicles from IG office.
Meanwhile, police has issued traffic advisory to facilitate commuters.
According to CTO, five SPs, 16 DSPs, 90 inspectors, 135 patrolling officers and more than 1600 traffic wardens will be deployed and to tackle issue of wrong parking 20 fork lifters will be used.
Capt. (R) Liaqat Ali said that police has established nine stands for car parking and wardens will be deployed at alternative routes for smooth traffic flow. Traffic on Mall road, Jail road, Canal road and MM Alam road will not be disturbed and residents of Lahore will be informed about changing traffic situation through ‘Rasta’ app and FM 88.6
He added that fans and children will be welcomed with flowers and candies respectively.
