Zindagi Tamasha will not be released in Punjab, Sindh

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The much-talked and now-controversial film, Zindagi Tamasha, will not be released in Punjab and Sindh, while the Central Board of Film Censors has decided to approach the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in this regard.
According to details, the Punjab and Singh government has banned the movie release in respective provinces with Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan’s confirmation about the decision to critically review the movie.
She added that the producers of the movie are also made aware of the decision.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has also constituted a committee to review the reservations and objections while stopping the screening of the film. It was scheduled to releases on January 24.
On the other hand, the Sindh government has also issued a notification banning the screening of the film. The order stated that Sindh Culture Department stopped the film’s release on the basis of sensitive matter. All theaters in Karachi have also been informed.
