CM Buzdar seeks PM Imran's guidance on crucial issues

Buzdar asked PM Imran for some measures to improve working relationships with the allies.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday and sought his guidance on important issues along with apprising him about the concerns of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
According to details, PM Imran met CM Buzdar in Islamabad where both shed light on the political and administrative affairs of Punjab. CM Buzdar briefed the premier about the provincial affairs and reservations of the PML-Q.
Sources privy to Dunya News sources said that Buzdar, who is also among those who signed a power-sharing agreement between the PML-Q and the government, sought guidance from PM Imran for some measures to improve working relationships with the allies.
Earlier, the PML-Q handed over the government team a copy of a written agreement and demanded its implementation.
Sources privy to the matter told the media that CM Buzdar acknowledged that the government signed a written agreement with the PML-Q, and directed the IG and the chief secretary to improve their working relations with the PML-Q.
Buzdar termed the PML-Q as a “reliable ally” and stated that the government intended to fulfill its promises.
Besides the CM, Jahangir Tareen and Pervez Khattak represented the government, while the PML-Q delegation included Tariq Bashir Cheema, Moonis Elahi and Chaudhry Salik.
The chief secretary and the Punjab IG also attended the meeting. Both sides discussed progress of development projects in Punjab and conveyed their reservations.
After the meeting, Tareen said that the meetings with the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) and the Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) were also scheduled. “The government will complete its term and is not facing any problems.”
He further said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has left the federal cabinet, and “not the government.” “PTI is in contact with their leaders and MQM-P will soon return to the cabinet.”
PML-Q leader Tariq Bashir Cheema said that there could be differences even in a house and they were grateful that the government has heard their concerns.
He further said that the PML-Q had some reservations regarding the development projects but government has ensured to accept their demands.
