BCB president said everyone is a little nervous staying there for a longer period.
(Web Desk) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday proposed to play the two Tests later this month in Pakistan to the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
The final call on the tour will be taken on in the next two days, it was confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan. PCB is also ready to play the three-match T20I series later.
Bangladesh are scheduled to tour Pakistan in January-February for two World Test Championship Tests and three T20Is. The BCB are willing to play the T20I series in Pakistan but want to play the Tests at a neutral venue. PCB, on the other hand, isn t quite aligned with BCB s demands.
"We asked them to play Twenty20s but today they proposed us to play Test matches. They said they will play the Twenty20 bilateral series before the Twenty20 World Cup in Pakistan," said Nazmul Hassan.
"We have very little time in hand so we must decide by Thursday," Hassan said. "We have to consider the consequences of not touring, which is what we discussed with everyone. We are not worried about the bilateral T20I series, but we are unclear about the World Test Championship.
"If you consider, it takes lesser time to play one Test than three T20Is. We will reach there the day before, and play five days," Hassan explained. "It may take seven or eight days to play the T20I series. We never said we wouldn t play in Pakistan. We are worried about duration. Everyone is a little nervous staying there for a longer period."
