SBCA has declared owner responsible for collapse of the building
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) declared the building Ramzan Heights unsafe after fire erupted in old timber market five years ago.
SBCA has declared owner of the building responsible for collapse of the building and announced to take action against him.
DG SBCA Zafar Ahsan told the media that five years ago this building was damaged due to huge blazes that erupted in old timber market. Department declared the building unsafe and directed to vacate the building until necessary renovations are made.
According to officials residents and owner refused to vacate the building despite repeated warnings. It was also revealed that funds granted by Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz for renovation of timber market were also not utilized.
