Pakistan to hold South Asian Taekwondo Championship in August

South Asian championship will be first of its kind and only SAARC member states will participate
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan will host South Asian Taekwondo Championship in August and Pakistan Cup in September at Islamabad.
Newly appointed chairman of South Asian Taekwondo Federation Umar Saeed said that South Asian championship will be first of its kind in which only SAARC member states will participate.
He further added that Asian and world Taekwondo Federation has allowed Pakistan to organize ‘Pakistan Cup’
He announced that federation will sponsor young athletes training abroad and announced establishment of Taekwondo academies of international standard.
Umar Saeed said that Pakistan’s presidency of South Asian Taekwondo Federation will help in arranging more events which will improve performance of local athletes.
