(Web Desk) - Formula 1 will use special logos for 2020, acknowledging the 70th anniversary of the formalisation of the series back in 1950.
To mark the start of the new year 2020, Formula 1 has announced that it will be using bespoke logos throughout the year to mark the 70th anniversary of the series.
While Grand Prix racing has existed for far longer than that, 1947 was the first year of an agreed ‘Formula 1’. Non-championship races were held, before 1950 was the first year to formalise a Driver’s World Championship for Formula 1 and the sport has only ever grown from there. Several logos have been used over the 70 years, with the most recent change only happening two years ago.
