Dense fog disrupts rail and road traffic in Punjab, KP

Dense fog has paralyzed routine life in several cities Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on night between Monday and Tuesday, paralyzing routine life and disrupting rail and road traffic, Dunya News reported.
The thick fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities of Punjab and KP. According to a Motorway spokesman, the Motorway section from Swabi to Burhan (M1) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Moterway section from Khanewal to Multan (M3), Moterway section from Multan to Sukkur (M5) have been closed as visibility was down to zero.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero metres due to dense fog. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
Dense fog has also affected the railways schedule as departure of several trains, including Karakoram Express, Karachi Express and Akbar Express, was delayed.
