Motorway sections closed as fog blankets parts of Punjab

The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Motorway Section from Faizpur to Abdul Hakim (M3), Motorway Section from Shorkot to Shamkot (M4) and Motorway Section from Rahim Yar Khan to Multan (M5) have been closed as dense fog engulfed parts of Punjab on night between Monday and Tuesday.
Dense fog has also disrupted traffic in Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Pir Mehal, Chichawatni, Mian Channu, Lodhran, Okara, Sahiwal and Renala Khurd as visibility was very low.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres due to heavy fog.
Dense fog has also affected the flight schedule at the Multan Airport where 13 flights were delayed and two were cancelled while two were diverted to other airports due to low visibility.
