MEXICO (Reuters) - Hundreds of Santas dashed through the streets of Mexico City on December 15 to get some exercise ahead of the Christmas season’s celebrations, parties and feasts.
Dressed in their red and white Santa Claus costumes, the racers set out from Mexico City’s Olympic Village sports complex and ran along the capital’s normally bustling streets.
Daniela, an organizer of the Santa Run, said that the main reason of Sunday’s race was to increase sports participation in Mexico, "and also to make it fun."
