Punjab govt decides audit of its projects

CM Buzdar said that no one will be excused if any flaw is found in Punjab.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The incumbent Punjab government has decided to audit all its projects that will be launched within the next year.

According to sources, action will be taken against the irregularities found in the projects. Officers and contractors will also be blacklisted in case of irregularities. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by chief minister Usman Buzdar.

CM Buzdar said that no one will be excused if any flaw is found in Punjab. It was decided at the meeting that the tendering, construction work and other civil technical issues would be supervised in the projects. 

On Nov 26, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar vowed to make no compromise on quality of development projects, Dunya News reported.

The CM said in his statement that all projects will be completed within time and affirmed that no one will be allowed to hinder the progress of underdeveloped areas.

Sardar Usman Buzdar stressed that he will monitor all development projects himself. It is the right of backward areas to make progress, and the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is ensuring that, he added.
