KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Vivacious and colourful celebrations have been organised in several cities to mark the 11th anniversary of Dunya News that has been successfully spreading awareness amongst the masses about national and international affairs with professionalism and journalists code of ethics.
In Khanewal, a ceremony was organised at Tehsil Council Hall and Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhary and District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad cut a cake and the banquet was a sumptuous, luxurious meal.
Traditional drumbeats and pipe music added to the amusement of participants including journalists, traders and people from all walks of life. The organisers had also displayed colourful banners in and around the venue and places nearby as part of the celebration. Later, the participants prayed for progress of the media outlet.
In Pakpattan, two separate ceremonies were held to observe the anniversary of Dunya News. The first was organised at FM107 Radio’s office where a cut was cut and the second was held at the Press Club Pakpattan where journalists, socialists and politicians gathered to cut a cake.
In Sahiwal, a marvelous ceremony was held at Baldia Hall where influential dwellers, civil society members and journalists in large number were present to express unity and enthusiasm for journalism. They lauded efforts and sacrifice of journalists and cut a cake to celebrate the anniversary.
