Drugs worth billions recovered in Balochistan

41kg heroin and 2kg Hashish have been recovered during a joint.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - 241kg heroin and 2kg Hashish have been recovered during a joint anti-drug operation conducted by Pakistan Navy, Maritime Security Agency and Anti-Narcotic Force.

The raid was conducted at Jiwani, near Pashkon in Balochistan on Tuesday.

According to Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, the total value of the recovered drug is over two point four one billion rupees in the internationalmarket.

The recovered drugs have been handed over to Anti Narcotics Force for further legal actions.

As per details, PMSA vessel located and subsequently approached a suspicious Fast Speed Boat (kyak) of suspected smugglers and recovered drugs from captured boat. Pakistan Navy said continuous Anti-Narcotics Operations and seizures by PMSA are result of meticulous planning and constant surveillance of maritime Zones of Pakistan.

PMSA maintains its permanent presence at sea with large contingent of Ships and Aircrafts to counter any unlawful activity happening along the coastal belt and adjacent areas of responsibility.

Pakistan Navy and PMSA will continue to protect national and international interests of country and obligations of maintaining peace and order at sea.
