Nankana Sahib: Won't grant NRO to anyone until alive, affirms PM Imran

NANKANA SAHIB (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday has said that Pakistan is indebted because of two National Reconciliation Ordinances (NROs) that were given in the past. However, I will not grant NRO to anyone until I am alive, he affirmed.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of Baba Guru Nanak University in Nankana Sahib, the premier said that the nation is lagging behind education and that Auqaf department’s land will be utilized to build universities and other educational institutions.  Commenting on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) anti-government Azadi March, PM Imran said that the opposition parties are afraid of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) spectacular performance and asked, “Why marchers are coming to federal capital for my resignation?”

He said that the ministers are trying hard to provide opportunities for businesses in the country whereas the traders are also ready to pay fix tax amount to boost the economy.

Talking about the health of former PM Nawaz Sharif, he said that no one can give guarantee of any other human being as death and life are under Almighty’s control. Best medical treatment is being given to PML-N supremo at Lahore’s Services Hospital, where he was admitted due to drop in his platelet count, he stated.

It is to be mentioned here that PM Imran Khan, during his Nankana Sahib visit, met local leaders. However, arriving back in Lahore, he was briefed on the latest health condition of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and MIT Act.

He also deliberated on health reforms, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme and law and order situation.
