ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan, expressing on Nawaz Sharif’s health said that granting bail is job of the courts and not government, and Asif Ali Zardari can also move the court if his health is also deteriorating.
In a statement issued by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Awan, she said that the Prime Minister Imran Khan today (Oct. 25) sent Dr Faisal to seek updates on Nawaz Sharif’s health and directed to provide best medical facilities to Nawaz Sharif.
She went on to say that PM Imran Khan reiterated that politics should not be exercised on anyone‘s health. “Politics on Nawaz Sharif’s health is not our priority but his health is”, she asserted adding that they are fully aware of his condition.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that an important news has come that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo has been released on bail. “Our institutions are independent and Nawaz Sharif approached the court for it”, she added.
Earlier, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has approved incarcerated former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s bail petition on medical grounds against two surety bonds worth Rs 10 million.
Earlier, speaking on the Sahiwal encounter case, SAPM Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that PM Imran Khan has directed the Punjab government to file an appeal on Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) verdict regarding Sahiwal encounter case.
In a tweet, the special assistant said that the premier has also ordered the provincial government to investigate the weaknesses and flaws of prosecution in leading the case.
