Ahsan Iqbal said that terminating local bodies in Punjab is the worst attack on democracy.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ahsan Iqbal said that all the opposition parties should unite in the anti-government protests and PML-N will lead every movement against the incumbent leadership.

Talking to the media, he asserted that the opposition parties will run a movement for new elections in the country. “On October 18th, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will respond to Nawaz Sharif’s suggestions,” he added.

PML-N stalwart expressed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had misled people for South Punjab province. “After 13 months, the government did not work an inch for South Punjab province”, he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said that terminating local bodies in Punjab is the worst attack on democracy. “Local body institutions were massacred” he said adding that education and health system in the province has been destroyed.

He said that PTI is extracting revenge on Punjab, and now “Punjab Bachao” movement will have to start to save the province. “Today Pakistan is heading towards darkness, anarchy, inflation and poverty”, he added.

The PML-N leader expressed that his party ended the load shedding and revived the economy of the country. “Terrorism was impossible to overcome but the PML-N proved its effort futile”, added. “We have a road map of Pakistan’s development and the PML-N has fulfilled all the commitments”, he said adding that they will take the ideology of Quaid to every corner of the country.
