Yasmin Rashid calls for ensuring dengue prevention campaign

Zero periods about dengue prevention in educational institutions should be ensured, said Dr. Yasmin.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that actions have been taken against the denial of SOPs for dengue while more than 10,000 sanitary petrol has been recruited in Rawalpindi and other districts.
A Cabinet Committee meeting chaired by Health Minister Punjab Yasmin Rashid was held in the Civil Secretariat. Addressing the meeting, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that awareness about cleaning of room coolers of all houses and zero periods about dengue prevention in educational institutions should be ensured.
Dr Yasmin Rashid expressed that increasing the anti-dengue campaign activities had led to a clear reduction in dengue cases. “Dengue fever can affect pregnant women more”, she asserted adding that investigations are ongoing against the officers who were negligent.
Provincial Health Minister said that a large number of patients from Islamabad are undergoing treatment at government hospitals in Rawalpindi. “Third party validation is being conducted in the affected areas”, she added.
