Delay in ECP appointments likely to affect important affairs.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Delay in appointments of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members is likely to affect important affairs including local body elections and hearing of key cases, Dunya News reported on Friday.

According to details, Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Mohammad Raza will retire on December 6 and the ECP will become non-functional as a result.

Sources have revealed that the preparation for electoral lists will face a delay in the first place. Subsequently, the delimitation of constituencies for the local body elections and other arrangements will come to halt.

Furthermore, cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other political parties will also be postponed.
