Sindh govt decides to construct another landfill site in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh government has decided to construct another landfill site for the disposal of Karachi waste.
According to Dunya News, after Deh Jam Chakro and Gond Pass, it has been decided to construct a landfill site in Dhabeji which is consisting of 3,000 acres of land for garbage disposal.
The new site will have specific sections for separating different types of waste from which measures will be taken to generate electricity.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister met with a delegation of a Turkish cleaning company in Lahore while the company also showed interest for working in Karachi.
The spokesperson said that the Chief Minister offered the company to work on public private mode. The provincial CM expressed that the Turkish company would take the garbage out of the house, take it to the GTS and landfill site while cleaning the roads. "We want to build six garbage transfer stations in the city," he added.
