Won't drop Ahmed Shahzad from team for his one match performance: Misbah

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan cricket team Head Coach and Chief Selector Misbah-ul-Haq on Sunday said that it takes a little time for a player not playing international cricket for long to settle.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, he said that Fakhar Zaman has not been dropped but given time to take some rest, adding that it is important for the top order to perform well. Babar Azam is an excellent T20 player, he said.
Misbah said that Sri Lankan team has performed well in first T20 International match and hoped that Pakistan team will perform well in tomorrow’s (Monday) match and win the match.
He made it clear that a player cannot be dropped from the team citing his one match performance, adding that it takes time for someone who hasn’t played international cricket for so long.
“We have prepared a complete plan regarding the team,” he added.
The head coach said that Ahmed Shahzad has been given chance to play international cricket because of his performance in PSL.
