Dr Firdous assures to provide assistance to quake victims in Azad Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has assured to provide every possible assistance for the rehabilitation of quake affected people in Azad Kashmir. In a series of tweets on Thursday, she said the government and its institutions will not rest till the complete rehabilitation of quake affected people. She said portable X-ray machines and medicines will be dispatched to the hospital in Mirpur. The special assistant said the government fully stands by the quake affected people in this hour of trial. She said Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed firm commitment for the relief and assistance of the calamity hit people. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that it was on the instructions of the prime minister that she visited the quake victims, condoled with the bereaved families and distributed essential items including tents and water amongst the people. The special assistant said the process of rehabilitation will start after the rescue and relief operation. She said the armed forces, National Disaster Management Authority, Punjab government and other institutions are standing shoulder to shoulder with Azad Kashmir government for the rehabilitation of the quake victims.
