Many ghost teachers removed from Balochistan education department

34 teachers of district Khech including 16 women have been removed.

QUETAA (Dunya News) - As part of a comprehensive crackdown against teacher absenteeism and non-functional schools, the Balochistan education department suspended many teachers across the province over their continued absence from duty.

Government data showed that thousands of ghost teachers in the education department are eating the system.

Sources said more than 3000 such teachers have been removed till now while a departmental inquiry on the matter is still underway.

Government of Balochistan in order to improve the situation in education sector has removed such teachers who are unable to prform their duties.

34 teachers of district Khech including 16 women have been removed and it is suspected that many other ghost teachers are still receiving perks from government of Balochis without performing duties.
