LHC issues notice to federal government over unnecessary use of national exchequer

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore High Court (LHC) today (Sept. 23) has issued notices to federal and Punjab government over special protocol of the ministries and excessive and, unnecessary use of the national exchequer.

The LHC heard the plea of Advocate A.K Dogar in which federal government and others were named. The petitioner stated that the government workers are living a luxurious life using the special protocol on the money of public. “Prime Minister Imran Khan and other ministers should use the economy class of the national airlines of Pakistan,” he added.

Advocate A.K Dogar raised objections over the use of luxurious cars and advised ministers to use public transport like buses to cut the expense. “Money of people should be spent on them so that the country can prosper”, he stated. He added the court should forbid ministers from using special protocols.

The LHC issued the notice and sought answer from the federal government.
