CHILAS (Dunya News) – At least 26 people were killed while 11 others sustained severe wounds as a speeding passenger bus rammed into cliffs near Babusar Top on Sunday morning.
The bus carrying 37 passengers was enroute to Rawalpindi from Skardu when the mishap took place. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), ten army soldiers were also among those killed in the accident. The security personnel and teams arrived at the spot and launched rescue activities while the injured were immediately admitted to the Chilas hospital.
The dead bodies of the Pakistan army soldiers have been shifted to the CMH Gilgit. Separately, a speeding car fell into a canal near Charsadda after which four people were killed while one sustained wounds.
