President urges businessmen to effectively use IT for boosting economy

(Web Desk) – President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday urged industrialists, traders and businessmen to take benefits of modern information and technology modes to enhance their enterprises and facilitate enhancement to the state’s economy.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the president emphasised on the use of technology, transparency and digitalisation of economy and stressed that these could provide solutions to numerous issues faced by businessmen and traders.
The president said facilities were being ensured for businessmen to ease doing businesses across the country.
He underlined the enhanced women’s representation in all fields including the businesses and industries.
President Alvi said exports of the country were increasing rapidly and imports were decreasing due to effective measures adopted by the government.
He pledged that the ‘war’ against corruption and malpractices and indiscriminate accountability would continue.
The president endorsed Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s proposal for a joint venture between Malaysia, Turkey and Pakistan to unite Muslim nations.
In an exclusive interview with Anadolu Agency in Islamabad, he said three leading Muslim countries could play a constructive role for peace and introducing a joint venture for development in the Muslim countries.
He said Turkey was playing a major role around its border in Syria and trying to achieve peace. “There will be a major rebuilding in the Middle East and Afghanistan once peace is restored.”
About Kashmir, The president said the pattern of Gujarat riots continued in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Assam.
