Dengue fever claims life of 14-year-old in Faisalabad.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Dengue fever claimed the life of a 14-year-old matriculation student in Faisalabad, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

The boy – Aryaan – belonged to Rawalpindi and was shifted to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital after receiving initial treatment from civil hospital. The victim was put on a ventilator after his condition worsened.

It is worth mentioning here that eight patients – including two sisters – are undergoing dengue treatment at Allied Hospital’s isolation ward, and the total number at the hospital has surged to 27 this year as per a report.

According to focal person Dr Amir, the patients are out of danger. On the other hand, the locals are afraid of the outbreak as authorities have failed to take effective measures against the dengue epidemic.
