(Web Desk) – Advisor to the Prime Minister (PM) on Finance and Economic Affairs Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has revealed that the government has decided about tax refunds for the promotion of economic activity for provision of liquidity support to the businesses.
In a tweet, he said Rs22 billion of verified sales tax refunds for all years would be released immediately.
He said Rs1.7 billion of income tax refunds for all years would be released immediately.
Shaikh said the verification process for other outstanding refunds would be expedited and income tax refunds between Rs100,000 to Rs500,000 for all years would be paid in the next month.
