FM Qureshi feared a massacre as the result of Kashmiri mass march tomorrow.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday clearly asserted that there’s no use of bilateral talks with India now as they made the matters worse by taking a unilateral step on Kashmir.
Speaking exclusively in Dunya News’ program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that curfew has been imposed in the occupied Kashmir for the last 18 days. “The world has to think who is destroying the peace of the region now,” he added.
FM Qureshi expressed that the people of Kashmir has announced to break the curfew tomorrow and hold a mass march towards the United Nations office. He added that the global community must understand the gravity of the situation as the massacre of the protestors is on the brink.
People of Kashmir decided to hold a mass march towards the United Nations office at Sonawar in Srinagar after the Jummah prayers on August 23, to defy the curfew and illegal and unconstitutional lockdown imposed by the Indian authorities over the occupied Kashmir.
