Couple arrested for raping, assaulting and blackmailing women, minor girls

The rapist nearly targeted more than 150 girls including minors over last seven months.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A couple was detained in the Gulistan Colony of Rawalpindi for raping, sexually assaulting and blackmailing scores of women and minors after filming obscene videos of them.
Sources reported that ten girls were raped according to the material recovered from the mobile of accused rapist Qasim and his wife whereas contact with global gang of both hasn’t been traced yet. The rapist nearly targeted more than 150 girls including minors over last seven months.
Qasim along with his wife Kiran Mehmood confessed to authorities after a complaint was filed by an MSc student who had fallen prey to the couple.
Qasim has studed M.A History from the Allama Iqbal University. Police sources told that the accused has been running various websites since 2004 and the couple got involved in the crime when they lost the source of their income in 2016.
According to the sources, wife of the accused used to befriend the innocent girls and trap them into their heinous crimes.
According to the Dunya News, Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has been formed to investigate such scandal cases which will be headed by the Investigation SSP Muhammad Faisal. JIT also include SP Rawalpindi, DSP City, ASP Waris Khan, Amna Baig and sub-inspector Khalid. JIT has completed the preliminary investigation of the case.
State Bank has also been requested for the details of Qasim’s bank accounts. Sources added that the accused has an account balance of only Rs2500. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has not yet been included in the investigation.
